An impressive Grade II listed Georgian Mansion with five bedrooms and a suite individually and beautifully furnished with antique furniture and works of art offering luxury accommodation.

The house is set in five acres of formal gardens, woodland and a large productive walled garden. Part of the house was built in the 1750's with later additions in the early 19th century. The house retains many of its original features with plaster ceiling cornices, fireplaces, polished wooden floors and has been tastefully furnished with period antique furniture and paintings hand in hand with 21st Century standards of service and facilities. Broomfield is run in a personal, relaxed, warm and caring style.

With the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains within easy reach the location is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding countryside or browsing the bookshops of Hay-on-Wye.

Road Directions

Broomfield House, Glasbury-on-Wye Mid Wales

Broomfield is conveniently located just off the B4350 Brecon to Hay-on-Wye road at Glasbury-on-Wye in Mid Wales.

When approaching from Brecon (A438) continue towards Hay-on-Wye. Follow the road until you enter Glasbury, passing the Glasbury garage on your left and onto the B4350. Continue along this road for approximately 200 yards and when you see the 30mph deregulation signs turn right through the two white gate posts into the driveway.

Hay on Wye is approximately three miles, Brecon ten miles, Builth Wells 15 miles and Hereford 25 miles across the River Wye The nearest Railway Station is at Abergavenny about 20 miles away. Several Taxi Companies operate in the local area and we are always happy to make arrangements on your behalf.
