Aberdare railway station is the terminus of the Aberdare branch of the Merthyr line (all trains run to/from Cardiff Central). It is located just off the A4059 which runs through the town off the roundabout signed to Abernant and near Aberdare swimming pool. The postcode is CF44 0PU.
