The surrounding hillsides are filled with relicts from Abertillery’s proud past and there is no better way to explore this history and local folklore than taking on of the towns 9 Tyleri Trails.

Visitors should also check out the beautiful Cwmtillery Lakes, St Illtyd’s Church that dates back to the twelfth century and the magnificent Guardian commemorating the 45 men and boys who lost their life at Six Bells.

The nearest railway station to Abertillery is Llanhilleth on the Ebbw Valley line from Cardiff Central.
