Celtic English Academy is situated in central Cardiff, only minutes' walking distance from the National Museum of Wales, Queen Street shopping area and Cardiff Castle with Bute Park gardens. The National Museum of Wales is a convenient coach pick-up/drop-off site for international visitors and groups. The Academy organise sightseeing day trips in locally and nationally by coach for students on a regular basis.

The Academy is 3 converted Victorian buildings on Park Grove. They are sympathetically designed with 22 classrooms for adult or junior age students. There are 2 lounges that can hold 15-30 people each. Perfect for break times, meeting with others and for briefing presentations or events, especially for educational tourism groups. Both individual or group bookings, with flexible start dates and weekly enrolments for 50 weeks of the year.
For over 15 years The Celtic English Aademy has welcomed learners and educational tourists from over 50 different countries, of all ages from 11 - 80+ to study an English language course. Whether you are looking for a formal qualification, to go on to university, or simply to travel, experience the culture and communicate more effectively in English, the Celtic Engish Academy have something for you.
Normally, visitors who study at the Academy like to stay in one of our accommodation options - in a local homestay, or city centre student residence. Homestay is a great way to immerse yourself in the language and local life. We offer carefully selected local hosts, according to your preferences (e.g. pets, children, distance from the Academy). Our student residence is a high-quality facility with excellent common areas included free of charge (e.g. gym, movie room, games room, lounges). Residence rooms all have private bathrooms and are self-catered. Studio rooms have a private kitchen, whilst standard rooms share a large kitchen dining area with 7 rooms in total.
The English Language Academy is experienced in group programmes, from school groups to senior stays and can tailor the programme and services to your needs.
Additional Services
The Academy provides additional services to it's educational tourism customers including, but not limited to: pre-arrival orientation and support, city centre walking tour, social and cultural activity programme. Staff include native speakers of the following languages, that could provide linguistic support: Spanish, French and Japanese.

Road Directions
By car - Cardiff is connected to the M4 motorway and easily accessed from all parts of Britain.
If travelling EAST on the M4, leave the motorway at Junction 32, follow the A470, sign-posted city centre. If travelling WEST on the M4, leave the motorway at Junction 29, follow the A48(M)/A48, sign-posted Cardiff East and the South. Continue for approximately seven miles to the city-centre.
Parking is usually available in the roads surrounding the Academy on; Park Grove, Park Place, Museum Avenue, and around the Cathays Park area. This is pay-and-display. There are also 4 city centre shopping mall car-parks. The closest are the Capitol Shopping Centre car park and NCP Dumfries Road car park.
Public Transport Directions
TRAIN - Cardiff is easily connected by train from London, major UK airports and many towns and cities across Britain. The Cardiff - London Paddington train, runs seventeen times a day, with a journey time of less than 2 hours.
Cardiff also has a local train network making travel easy and convenient for short journeys, as well as connecting to the South Wales rail network for journeys to the Valleys, or other main cities like Swansea.
BUS - Major coach companies National Express, MegaBus and Stagecoach have regular services to and from Cardiff. The Cardiff bus network easily connects all parts of the city, plus destinations around Cardiff, for example; Penarth, Barry and Newport.
There is an airport shuttle bus that runs regularly from Cardiff airport to multiple stops in Cardiff city centre.
AIR - Cardiff International Airport connects Cardiff to many European cities and has an increasing number of international flights, for example via Doha (Qatar Airways) and Amsterdam (KLM). Cardiff Airport (code CWL) is 11 miles from the city centre. There is an airport shuttle bus which runs a regular service.
Various coach and rail companies operate direct services to Cardiff Central Station from London's Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
