About

or those wanting to find out a little bit more about Pontypridd's history and the origins of the Welsh National Anthem, Pontypridd Museum has a wonderful collection of exhibits and artefacts on show. The Muni Arts Centre holds regular performances, workshops and exhibitions that fortify the cultural life of Pontypridd, whilst Ynysangharad park provides the town with green space for a host of leisure activities.

The Pit Pony Sanctuary, the Ponty round houses and Pontypridd Golf Club are also very popular attractions, as is St Fagans open air museum that delves into numerous chapters from Wales' glorious past.

Like most towns in the Valleys, Pontypridd benefits from being within easy access of the rural pleasures of the Brecon Beacons National Park and the urban thrills of Cardiff. Ponty also benefits from a very wide selection of pubs, anyone of which might be harbouring Pontypridd's favourite son, Mr Tom Jones.
