About

The model village continues to be improved every year with new additions and models to give our regular return visitors renewed interest. Now set in one acre of beautifully landscaped gardens with water features and a good selection of plants and trees the model village offers our visitors something unique in north Wales. Following the path through different settings with some models copied from Anglesey landmarks all built to a scale of one twelfth full size including our working model garden railway which circles the gardens stopping only at the world famous station of LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLLGOGERYCHWYRNDROBWLLLLANTYSILIOGOGOGOCH.

Drinks ice-cream and light refreshments are available in our tea room or bring your own picnic and enjoy the magnificent views across to Snowdonia.

The younger members of the family can ride our self drive railway engine around the picnic and play area.

Wheelchair friendly site. Dog friendly location.

Road Directions

By car: SatNav - Our post code is LL61 6RS. (Note that the post code area in this corner of the island is very large, meaning that post code directions will only bring you to the general locale. We recommend that Anglesey Model Village is set as specific search criteria in your SatNav device).

If you're travelling from mainland Wales, follow the A55 over Britannia Bridge to Anglesey and take the first exit towards Llanfairpwllgwyngyll. Then take the first main road left (signposted A4080 to Newborough) and we're approximately 8 miles down the A4080, located between the villages of Dwyran and Newborough.

Our free car park has spaces for over 30 vehicles, plus there is a dedicated parking area for larger vehicles and coaches.

By public transport: The nearest rail station is at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllan-tysiliogogogoch (just say 'LlanfairPG' when buying a train ticket).

We are on the No. 42 bus route which operates primarily between Llangefni and Bangor. On boarding, tell the driver that you would like the bus to stop at the model village. Please be aware covid secure measures may take place on public transport.

Accessible by Public Transport: LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLL station is 8 miles away.
