About
Abergele (Pensarn) beach is popular with windsurfers and kayakers as well as walkers who appreciate the panoramic seascapes. The 60 mile long North Wales Path follows the coast through Pensarn where it incorporates a long promenade with shops, cafes and traditional seaside amusements as well as outdoor gym and climbing wall alongside. Cycle Route 5, part of the National Cycle Network, runs alongside the beach and offers pleasant, off road cycling for several miles in both directions. The larger town of Abergele, just inland, is surrounded by wooded hillsides and provides a full range of shops, restaurants, pubs and other services.
Parking next to the beach, toilets. Dog restrictions apply to part of the beach May - end September.
