1 From the village green take the tarmac road signposted Bontgoch passing the Black Lion hotel on your L and the public toilets on your R. Continue along this road bearing R where the road splits to follow the road sign posted Nant y Moch.

2. At the next fork, keep R, signposted Bontgoch, and turn immediately R along track to Berthlwyd farm. Pass the front of the house and L through the farm yard, turning R around the back of the outbuilding to continue along the track. When you reach a house on your L, turn R to walk down past an outbuilding on your L through a G, then another, before turning R down a zig zag path.

3. Cross the bridge and walk up to reach a tarmac track then turn L through a G and on until you reach a finger post. Turn sharp R to follow the grassy track uphill, passing a house on the L. On along the path through a G, ignoring a turning on your R to reach a S on the R just before another G.

4. Go over the S, and walk diagonally R downhill to climb another S in the bottom RH corner of the field. Follow the sunken path down to the road, then turn R back to the village green. There is no pavement on first section of road, so take great care of passing traffic.
