Machynlleth Comedy Festival

About

Machynlleth Comedy Festival attracts thousands of fans of stand-up comedy to Machynlleth over the May Bank Holiday weekend, with the 2025 Festival being celebrated from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th May.

For 3 days each year, Machynlleth Comedy Festival provides both famous and up in coming acts the platform to try new ideas and experiment.

The festival is made up of hundreds of shows held in multiple venues throughout Machynlleth.

Each show has it’s own capacity depending on the size of the room which range from 30 – 500 seaters, all of which are located within 10 minutes walk of each other in the centre of town. You only buy a ticket for the show(s) you want to see, allowing you to go and watch as much or as little as you want across the weekend.

The festival welcomes people of all ages with performances for all age groups as well as live music and theatre.
