About
Now in its 103rd year, the Royal Welsh Show attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors to Mid Wales for a four-day event of livestock, forestry, crafts, countryside sports, shopping, food and drink. Each day there is a 12-hour programme of entertainment, attractions and displays.
The Royal Welsh Show is one of the most prestigious events of its type in Europe, bringing together the farming industry and rural community in a celebration of the best of British Agriculture with a unique and very special ‘Welsh' flavour.
This year a new addition to the equine section will be the Ridden Part-Bred classes for nonpedigree horses and the national shows for British Blonde Cattle and Kerry Hill Sheep.
The main ring will have displays including The Regimental Band of the Royal Welsh and The RAF Falcons, military parachute display team. There will also be more than 400 retailers and trade stands and the Royal Welsh food showcase of the food and drink industry.
Along with an exciting four-days of livestock competitions, with entries travelling from far and wide to compete, the show has something to interest everyone through its wide range of activities including forestry, horticulture, crafts, countryside sports, shopping, food and drink and a programme each day of exciting entertainment, attractions and displays.
The Royal Welsh Show provides a prime shop window for farming in Wales. The show attracts more than 200,000 visitors, up to 7,000 entries of livestock and over 1,000 trade stands. A perfect day out for the whole family, with the very best of Welsh produce, flowers, crafts, country pursuits and arena displays.
