About
Drovers walks follow in the footsteps of the Drovers of old who used to drive their sheep, cattle, pigs and geese across the Cambrian Mountains and Welsh borders to the market towns of England.
There is a choice of 5 and 8 mile guided walks and 12 or 20 mile waymarked walks through the beautiful summer countryside around Llanwrtyd Wells, using, where possible, some of the old Drovers' trails that still criss-cross the area.
One of the checkpoints will be sited at the location of an old Drovers' inn, which is re-opened for the day, serving locally brewed traditional ale and other refreshments.
Entry is £10, with online entries closing 7 days before the event.
It is possible to enter on the day, but there is a £2 surcharge for doing so.
