The Blue Lake (Blue Pool) is a recommendation by guests, with it's views over Fairbourne to the Rhinogs and Llyn Peninsular. The Blue lake is also on the Wales Coast Path which is the path that follows the Welsh coastline and border. Take a gentle stroll along the beach to Penrhyn Point, or a longer walk to Barmouth bridge and walk across into Barmouth as featured on BBC’s “Coast”, across the picturesque Mawddach Estuary to Barmouth; or join the Mawddach trail, featured on BBC's Julia Bradbury’s “Railway walks” to Dolgellau. Fairbourne also boasts its own narrow gauge steam railway, and is on the mainline train to Barmouth and south to Tywyn, Aberdovey.
Other nearby attractions include Cregennan Lakes, Cader Idris. Also in the area, Port Merion, The Centre for Alternative Technology, Electric Mountain, Coed y Brenin Biking centre, Harlech Castle, King Arthur's Labyrinth, Tal-y-Llyn Railway and Bala Railway, Welsh Highland Railway.
