About

Hafren Forest Hideaway Bed & Breakfast - Staylittle. Located in the Cambrian Mountains an area of astounding natural beauty and Dark Skies in Mid Wales.

The Hafren Forest is on our doorstep, ideal for a relaxing walk, or a ride on your gravel/ mountain bike.

We are less than a 10 minute drive to the Clywedog Reservoir where your find the exceptional Llyn Clywedog Trout Fishery, and the Clywedog Sailing and Paddle Sports Club.

The National Cycle Route NCR 8, Lon Las Cymru and the Glyndwrs Way National Trail pass Hafren Forest Hideaway.

You can walk to the source of the Severn or if you fancy a little bit of a challenge you can walk to one of the Cambrian Mountains; Plynlimon the highest point in Mid Wales.

Mountain and Gravel Biking is becoming extremely popular in the area and we are ideally placed to visit the dedicated mountain bike trail centre at Coed Y Brenin and Dyfi Bike Park.

The area is truly a place of natural beauty, and there is plenty to see, take a walk around the Llyn Clywedog and you may be lucky to see the Osprey fishing, take a drive to the Bryntail Lead Mines and stop off at the Clywedog Dam, and have lunch at Caffi Clywedog. A short drive from the hideaway is the Glaslyn Nature Reserve, or the Ffrwd Fawr Waterfall.

Our local beaches are about a 40-minute drive and they are not to be missed, clean sandy beaches with dedicated dog friendly areas.

Our local town is Llanidloes the first town on the River Severn, a town that offers an array of cafes, gift shops and pubs.

We are dog friendly, but we ask that you discuss bringing your dog at the time of the booking.
