Our luxury holiday cottage in West Wales is the former Head Gardener’s home situated on the private estate of Plas Llangoedmor, which translates as ‘Church in the trees by the sea’. Consequently, this perfectly describes the idyllic situation of Gardener’s cottage. The cottage is surrounded by farmers’ fields and woodland so your nearest neighbours are likely to be sheep, cows, rabbits, woodpeckers, cheeky jackdaws and soaring red kites, it’s a superb spot for nature lovers. It's also a perfect holiday location for your doggy member of the family. We pride ourselves in providing a V.I Pup Experience in every way at Gardener's Cottage and so far we have been rated five paws! Your dog will receive their very own doggy hamper (after all they are on holiday as well) and all the essentials including food and water bowls, dog mats, blankets, dog towels and poo bags are also provided. Gardener’s cottage has recently been lovingly restored to create a flexible two bedroomed luxury holiday cottage in West Wales. With character, period features combining slate floors, underfloor heating throughout, exposed timbers & stonework with the very best of modern interior design. This refined Welsh holiday home has a large orangery style lounge with floor to ceiling glass bi-fold doors which allows guests to delight in an ‘outside room’ inside and immerse the senses with the garden birds’ woodland chorus. Cosy up in the snug around the wood-burner on chilly nights. Or, relax in the sumptuous seating area after a full day exploring the Preseli hills and heritage coast of Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion. Gardener's Cottage offers all the facilities you could wish for from a holiday cottage in West Wales. With a large enclosed garden, walks from the door and beautiful beaches only a 10 minute drive away your furry member of the family is going to have a great holiday as well. Inside the cottage has two comfortable and stylish bedrooms - The Woodland Suite (Super King with French doors that lead directly into the enclosed garden and ensuite with underfloor heating and huge walk in rain shower) - Garden Cwtch (which can be made up as Superking or twin with double aspect windows overlooking the garden to the church and the Kitchen Garden of the mansion). There is a luxury family bathroom with shower, bath and underfloor heating all powered by our biomass boiler. The kitchen combines the character of the original slate floor (lifted and re-laid to include underfloor heating ) with all the mod cons you will need together with a large dining table which overlooks the garden. The property also benefits from a handy utility room or ‘doggy ensuite’ the perfect access for pooches after an external doggie shower (with hot and cold water). There is superfast wifi, large flat screen TV, Bluetooth speaker, DVD player. Outside the large enclosed dog friendly garden, equipped with outdoor kitchen (BBQ and Pizza Oven) and outdoor dining and lounge seating, is the perfect place to end the day with a chilled glass of fizz whilst watching the Welsh sunset. In the garden you will also find the Potting Shed Garden room which is perfect for children to enjoy some secret exploring time with a TV, games, toys and bean bags. To the front of the cottage is a large gravelled Car Park with space for up to three cars. There is also an Electric Car Charging Point. Half a mile away on the shores of the Teifi Estuary you will find the bustling town of Cardigan which has a large number of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, an arts cinema and the recently restored Cardigan Castle. A five minute drive away is St Dogmaels, a vibrant village with pubs, craft gallery, cafe and an award wining farmers market whilst ten minutes away is Poppit Sands, the perfect dog walking beach where bottle nosed dolphins are regularly spotted from the headland - what a location!
