About
Coed y Brenin visitor centre near Dolgellau, is the gateway to Coed y Brenin Forest Park. Cader Idris, the conference room holds up to 80 delegates and is named after one of Snowdonia’s most famous mountains,
The conference room can be divided into two rooms with sufficient acoustic reduction to enable two smaller events to run at the same time and there is reduced rate car parking for all delegates. The Visitor Centre Cafe, Shop & Visitor Information Desk has both toilets (including accessible toilets) and showers (in male, female and accessible rooms),

Activities for delegates
Picnic sites and BBQ - There are a number of picnic tables around the main car parks within Coed y Brenin Forest Park plus many more on the waymarked walking trails. There are stone BBQ plinths in Glasdir and Ty'n y Groes picnic sites and please ensure all fires are extinguished and tidied up after use.
Three circular walks set off from the visitor centre car park if your delegates want to stretch their legs and get some fresh air. They may also want to go mountain biking - our trails range from easier options for beginners to tough technical routes for expert riders.
Delegates can bring their own bike or hire one from the bike shop (advance booking is recommended). They can learn or improve their off-road riding skills in the skills area or you may want to book a mountain bike instructor.
Other activities at the visitor centre include orienteering, trail running and geocaching.

Road Directions
Coed y Brenin Forest Park is located east off the A470, 8 miles north of Dolgellau near Trawsfynydd. Follow the brown tourist signs.
CAR PARKING There are two charging points for electric vehicles in the car park and there is a cycle rack in the car park. Overnight parking is not permitted.
PARKING CHARGES You are charged for the length of time you park at Coed y Brenin visitor centre.
The charges are: £2 for 2 hours 40p for every additional 20 minutes (maximum £7 per day) £40 for 12 month season ticket (on sale at the visitor centre reception). When you are ready to leave enter your vehicle registration into one of the machines in the car park and pay the parking charge by card or cash.
FREE PARKING (local residents and blue badge holders) Car parking is free if you live within the LL40 or LL41 postcode or the neighbouring villages of Arthog, Cutiau, Cardeon, Corris and Tal-y-Llyn or if you are a blue badge holder. Take your vehicle log book (V5 document) or blue badge to the visitor centre welcome desk to register for free parking.
