Llanwrtyd railway station is on the Heart of Wales Line from Shrewsbury to Swansea. The station is located about 5/600 yards from the town centre. Approaching from the north on the A483, Station Road is on the left in the town centre; postcode is LD5 4RW.

The station is unstaffed; buy tickets on the train. Live Departure screens, payphone and waiting room. Car parking no charge for passengers - 6 spaces. When arriving on the train, turn left out of the station for the town centre; this is a ten minute walk along a pavement.
