Dinas Dinlle is a small coastal village situated south-west of Caernarfon at the mouth of the Menai Straight. It has a large sand and pebble Blue Flag beach (Morfa Dinlle) with views towards the Llyn Peninsula and Llanddwyn Island on Anglesey; the foreshore consists of natural pebble banks with vast areas of sand from mid-tide level.

The area is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and part of the land is managed by the RSPB as a Local Nature Reserve. The Reserve is an ideal habitat for nesting lapwings and the site is managed to encourage their breeding.

The cliff above the beach has an Iron Age hillfort, Dinas Dinlle; eroded by the sea, only a double semi-circular rampart remains. Finds of Roman pottery indicate a reoccupation in the 2nd or 3rd centuries.

To the north of Dinas Dinlle is Caernarfon Airport which is mainly used by small fixed wing aircraft, helicopters and microlights for pleasure trips and flight training.
