Part of the community of Llanfihangel Ysgeifiog with a population of just over 1,500, Gaerwen is a village in south-west Anglesey situated 3 miles west of Llanfairpwllgwyngyll and 4 miles south-east of Llangefni. The A55 expressway runs just to the north of the village.
