Hay Castle is a place like no other to get married. The Castle is set in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, the famous Town of Books, against the stunning backdrop of the Black Mountains. Relaxed and stylish, it's an amazing place to hold weddings, blessings or civil ceremonies with a variety of spaces to suit the size of your ceremony:

The Great Hall

Ceremonies will take place in this atmospheric hall, featuring double-height ceilings, oversized fireplace and medieval stone walls, flooded with natural light. A characterful space which can seat 80 to 100 people.

The Mezzanines

These lovely spaces on the upper levels of the mansion are Ideal for 20 to 50 people. Natural light is key, with views out over the iconic rooftops of the historic book town of Hay-on-Wye.

The Printmakers Gallery

This beautiful, light space on the first floor is suited for larger celebrations of about 80 guests. Huge south-facing sash windows with views overlooking the great lawn and the Black Mountains.

Marquee on the Lawn

For larger groups, we can offer a traditional canvas marquee to host your dinner. The marquee is suitable for groups of 80 to 150 guests.
