About

With over 800 years of history and 26 acres of stunning, internationally acclaimed gardens, Powis Castle and Garden provides a unique and enchanting setting for your civil wedding ceremony.

The romantic red coloured stone of the Castle, coupled with its incredible aspect overlooking the Severn Valley, makes us the perfect venue for your Special Day. The world famous garden, with its Italianate terraces and formal garden, provides the perfect backdrop for your wedding photography.

There is a choice of five rooms licensed for civil wedding ceremonies, including the sumptuous Ballroom and elegant Orangery. We have a maximum of only six weddings a year, making Powis Castle and Garden one of the most exclusive venues for a civil wedding ceremony in Britain.

Carers can continue to access Powis Castle and Garden for free with an essential companions' card. They don't need to purchase a ticket for themselves, but the person they accompany will need a ticket or membership card.

All registered assistance dogs are welcome.

Separate mobility parking is available on the right once you pass the main car park.

To aid social distancing no shuttle service or wheelchairs are currently available to hire.

Guided touch tours of the castle and guided sensory tours of the garden are currently unavailable.

Please be aware there are unfenced terraces in the garden.

Full access statement is available on the website.
