About

Situated to the west of Carmarthen, Cors Goch is part of a lowland raised mire and is one of the last six large raised bogs in Wales. The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales owns and manages the site. The peat itself can get as deep as 15ft and this charts evidence of an uninterrupted environmental record spanning 8,000 years. The Reserve forms the Cors Goch Llanllwch Site of Special Scientific Interest.
