About
Access to the beach at Wiseman’s Bridge is only really feasible at low tide when the retreating sea reveals a sandy fringe beyond the rocky shore. At low tide, it’s possible to walk along the beach to either Saundersfoot or Amroth.
Wiseman’s Bridge is linked to Saundersfoot by a series of three tunnels through which the railways once travelled carrying coal from the local mines to Saundersfoot Harbour.
The old railway line or tramway heads up the wooded valley to the Stepaside Iron works, now a historic ruin. The tramway has recently been resurfaced and makes an ideal off road cycle for children all the way into Saundersfoot - its surface is also suitable for wheelchairs. At one end of the beach is the Wiseman’s Bridge Inn.
Toilets, limited parking on the edge of the road; dogs are allowed.
