Many of the locations inLlanwrtyd Wells have an interesting history and walking the Heritage Trail is an excellent way of learning about the town and taking in the beautiful surroundings.

Whether you undertake the Town Walk (about 1 mile taking approximately 45 mins) or the Country Walk (about 2 miles, taking 90 mins) you will enjoy some of what this small town has to offer. In the town centre square you will find the statue of the Red Kite that was erected oin 1998 to celebrate the re-introduction of red kite to the area.

Each location on the trail is marked with an informative plaque and waymark signs are provided to help you follow the route. You will find information about the locations and a map of the route from the Heritage Centre.

Children's Trail
The Children’s Trail follows the same route as the main trail but has been developed to encourage children to learn about the history by ‘finding the frogs’ around the town. A special Children’s brochure is available from the Centre which details their trail, along with puzzles and questions which can be answered by following the route and then on return to the Centre they will be given a gift for the successful completion of the booklet.
