About

Situated on the east coast of Anglesey, to the north of the village of Moelfre, the sandy beach measures more than half a mile at its widest point. Lligwy is a relatively sheltered and secluded beach surrounded by limestone rocks and agricultural land, it is popular for swimming, fishing and a range of watersports. There is pleasant walk from the beach in both directions along the Anglesey Coastal Path.

Beach cafe, pay parking, toilets; Moelfre is half an hour's walk along the coast path. Dogs are allowed.

Road Directions

A55 Junction 8 & A5025 to Benllech. Continue through the town on this road until you reach a roundabout at the junction with the A5108 to Moelfre. Take the second exit (not the A5108) signed for Traeth Lligwy.

Accessible by Public Transport: Llanfairpwll station is 12 miles away.
