About
Porth Eilian beach sits between the rocky headland of Point Lynas (Trwyn Eilian in Welsh) and the inlet known as Porthyrychen close to the village of Llaneilian and just to the east of Amlwch. The beach has a slipway making it popular for sea kayaking, sailing and diving. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area of Porth Eilian beach with choughs, ravens, oystercatchers, and gannets. Indeed the sea off Point Lynas is noted as a good viewing point for harbour porpoises and seals.
