About

Dragon Trails Walking Holidays offer a series of 4 night walking holidays for 4 - 8 guests in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

With the Black Mountains behind you, the Usk valley at your feet and the Beacons beyond, the beautiful and historic village of Crickhowell is an ideal base for walkers.

The walks, led by a Welsh speaking guide with a keen interest in the local history and wildlife, are typically 9 – 12 miles long (5 – 7 hours) over terrain that varies from the dead-flat towpath of the Brecon and Monmouthshire Canal to the more challenging gradients of the Sugarloaf and Pen-y-fan.  From standing stones to chartist caves and from hill-forts to ancient churches, the Beacons are bristling with history and the scenery is second to none.

Dragon Trails Walking Holidays include three fullish days (5 – 7 hours) in the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountains and Usk Valley. Guests will need to be moderately fit and comfortable with hilly terrain.

Full board accommodation is provided at a Crickhowell guesthouse - Full breakfast, packed lunches, home-made teas and suppers – two with your hosts (wine included) and two at a local inn (wine not included!)  All rooms are en suite.
